On Friday, September 25, 2009, at approximately 5:38 p.m., the MidCountry Bank located at 6506 Cahill Avenue, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual. After entering the bank, the robber paused in the entranceway of the bank and pulled up his mask. After passing through a second set of doors, he approached the victim teller, displayed a weapon, which was most likely a pen wrapped in canvas, and made a verbal demand for large denomination bills. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he demanded more. After the teller passed him additional money, the robber fled the bank on foot, carrying the cash in his hand. He was last seen running in a southwesterly direction away from the bank

The robber is described as a white male in his early 40’s, approximately 5’7” – 5’9” tall, with a medium build and wrinkles around his eyes. He was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, light colored blue jeans, a navy blue baseball cap, and a black mask covering his face and neck.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Inver Grove Heights Police Department, or Crime Stoppers.
