| U.S. Attorney’s Office September 23, 2009 |
A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against a 53-year-old Eagan man for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography. Keith James Hubbard was charged with one count of possession of child pornography as well as one count of distribution of child pornography.
On March 31, 2006, Hubbard allegedly shared through a peer-to-peer computer networking system visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Then, on May 3, 2006, he allegedly was found in possession of over 20,000 child pornography images, including photos and video tapes, when law enforcement executed a State search warrant at his Eagan residence.
If convicted, Hubbard faces a potential maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on the distribution count and 10 years in prison on the possession count. All sentences are determined by a federal district court judge.
This case is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Eagan Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Dees.
