Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in St. Anthony

FBI Minneapolis August 10, 2009
  • Chief Division Counsel Kyle A. Loven (763) 569-8540

On Monday, August 10, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the TCF Bank located at 3899 Silver Lake Road NE, St Anthony, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual.  The robber entered the bank brandishing a black handgun, ordered bank employees and customers to the floor, then leapt over the counter where he ordered two victim tellers to place cash from their teller drawers into a dark duffel bag that he was carrying.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the bank on foot to the southeast toward a residential area of Macalaster Drive NE.  As he was fleeing, a red dye pack activated in his possession and red dye and cash were found in his path.

The robber is described as a light-skinned, black male, in his mid 20’s, approximately 6’0” tall, with a slender to medium build.  He was wearing a dark, bandana-type covering over his face and head, a white dress shirt with dark necktie, khaki pants, and dark gloves.

Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the St Anthony Police Department, or Crime Stoppers.  A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
