Community Relations Executive Seminar Training (CREST)

Building on the success of the Citizens Academy program, the FBI created the Community Relations Executive Seminar Training (CREST) initiative in 2006. This program is designed to give more citizens the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations of the FBI.

The CREST program allows the FBI to partner with organizations in the community to develop specialized training seminars that will be helpful to the group and its members. The program is a shorter, more focused version of the Citizens Academy led by FBI agents and professional staff. Presentations can include topics such as identity theft, cyber security, counterterrorism, gangs and violent crime, evidence recovery, or other topics of interest to the host organization.

Through the CREST program, we are able to help improve the quality of life within the community through awareness programs, to establish new partnerships and initiatives, to improve our understanding of the community through an exchange of information, and to identify crime problems affecting specific communities that are not currently being addressed.
