Suspect Sought for Multiple Bank Robberies

The FBI Milwaukee Division is seeking the public’s help in locating a bank robbery suspect. The Milwaukee Area Violent Crime Task Force (MAVCTF), which consists of investigators from the FBI Milwaukee Division and Milwaukee Police Department, is attempting to locate Richard Gray (age 29) of Milwaukee. Gray is a suspect in at least seven bank robberies or attempted bank robberies between October 30, 2014 and February 20, 2015. On February 23, 2015, Gray was charged by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office with Wisconsin State Statue 943.87, robbery of a financial institution for the October 30, 2014 robbery of the Seaway Bank and Trust at 2101 W. Fond Du Lac Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is currently being sought by the MAVCTF. Gray is believed to be in Milwaukee, somewhere on the near north side.

Gray is suspected and wanted for questioning in the following robberies:

  • October 30, 2014: Seaway Bank and Trust, 2102 W. Fond du Lac Avenue
  • October 31, 2014: Mitchell Street Bank, 1039 W. Mitchell Street
  • January 26, 2015: Seaway Bank and Trust, 2102 W. Fond du Lac Avenue
  • January 30, 2015: BMO Harris, 2745 N. MLK Drive
  • February 20, 2015: Chase Bank, 210 W. Capitol Drive
  • February 20, 2015: BMO Harris, 2745 N. MLK Drive
  • February 23, 2015: TCF Bank, (inside Pick and Save), 2355 N. 35th Street

Gray remains at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 414-276-4684.
