Centuria Man Sentenced to Four Years for Possessing Child Pornography

U.S. Attorney’s Office March 15, 2011
  • Western District of Wisconsin (608) 264–5158

MADISON, WI—John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Arron Hultquist, 26, of Centuria, Wis., was sentenced on March 11, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb, to four years in prison without parole for possessing child pornography. This term of imprisonment will be followed by 20 years of supervised release. Hultquist pleaded guilty to this charge on January 13, 2011.

Hultquist received enhancements in his sentence because he distributed images to others, he possessed more than 600 images, and because the images he possessed depicted prepubescent minors and sadistic or masochistic conduct.

The charges against Hultquist were the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Polk County Sheriff’s Department. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman.
