The FBI believes these seven robberies and one attempt involved the same individual. Investigators are calling this robber the “Lucky Bandit” because he has robbed seven banks without wearing a disguise or being identified.
It is believed that the robber used a late-model black Mazda Tribute as a getaway vehicle in at least one robbery.
The FBI is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these robberies.
An FBI special agent will available for sound between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. today at the FBI main office at 2030 SW 145 Ave in. Miramar, FL 33027. (Spanish speaker is available.)
The FBI and local law enforcement agencies throughout Florida continue to investigate these robberies.
If anyone has information as to the identity of this bank robber, they are urged to call the FBI at (754) 703-2000 or Crimestoppers.
