The FBI announces the arrest of Louis Spina, 56, of Miami, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2555 Ponce de Leon Blvd. in Coral Gables, Florida, on May 12, 2014.

The arrest was made without incident today, May 13, 2014, in Coral Gables, Florida, by the Coral Gables Police Department Strategic Initiatives Team following a traffic stop.

Spina is in federal custody and is facing federal charges. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Federal Court in Miami, Florida.

The Coral Gables Police Department, the FBI, and the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force continue their investigation.
