FBI Announces Arrest of Suspect Wanted in Connection with Armored Truck Robbery in Sunrise

The FBI announces the arrest of Christopher Ferguson, 40, of Plantation, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the robbery of an armored car courier in Sunrise, Florida, on January 17, 2013.

The arrest was made without incident by the FBI, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Sunrise Police Department, Plantation Police Department, and the South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force (SFVCFTF) around 7:30 p.m. last night, March 21, 2013, in Plantation, Florida.

Ferguson is in federal custody and is expected to face Federal charges.

The investigation into this robbery is still ongoing. The FBI continues to seek information regarding a second suspect in this robbery and asks anyone with information to call 305-944-9101; Sunrise Police at 954-746-3600; or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
