JACKSON, TN—Seven individuals from West Tennessee were indicted on February 9, 2009 by a federal grand jury on drug related charges announced Lawrence J. Laurenzi, United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. The indictments were unsealed today after several of the defendants were arrested and taken into federal custody.

Tammy Huddleston, 35 of Big Sandy, Tennessee, and Joshua Ryan Henry, 27 of Parsons, Tennessee, along with five other defendants who remain at large, were charged in a one count indictment with conspiracy to unlawfully and intentionally manufacture and distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine in violation of Title 21, USC, Sections 841 and 846. Violations of these statutes carry a penalty of 10 years to life in federal prison.

According to the indictment, Huddleston, Henry and the other coconspirators would obtain the necessary ingredients, to wit: pseudoephedrine, to manufacture methamphetamine and then provide the pseudoephedrine to other conspirators for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine. The indictment further notes that the defendants would then develop a market for and supply users with the illegally manufactured methamphetamine and then collect the proceeds of the illegal drug sales for their personal benefit.

During the execution of search warrants as a result of this investigation, Agents seized at one location an active methamphetamine laboratory with tow five gallon pill soaks, .5 oz. of methamphetamine, over 5,000 pseudoephedrine pills, a Smith & Wesson 45 cal. Pistol, a computer, cash, documents and a live rattlesnake. At another location, Agents seized a small amount of methamphetamine, over 11,000 pseudoephedrine pills, a computer, and related documents.

These indictments resulted from an two month investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Metro-Narcotics, Bolivar Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Chester Counter Sheriff’s Office, Humphrey’s County Sheriff’s Office, Waverly Police Department, and assisted by Benton County Sheriffs Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Decatur County.
