Elizabethtown Man Indicted for Bank Robbery

LOUISVILLE, KY—A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment against Randal A. Nabors, age 49, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, in Hardin County, on charges of bank robbery, United States Attorney David J. Hale of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that on July 25, 2010, Nabors robbed the Woodforest Bank, 100 Wal-Mart Drive, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, of $1,106.00, and that at the time the bank’s deposits were insured by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 20 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of at least three and not more than five years.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Bennett and it was investigated by the Elizabethtown Kentucky Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Nabors is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on February 22, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. in Louisville, Kentucky.
