  • Eastern District of Kentucky (859) 233-2661

COVINGTON—Quantez Calloway, 25, of Covington, Ky., was sentenced today to 200 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Danny C. Reeves for distributing crack cocaine.

In November of 2009, Calloway pleaded guilty to the charge of distribution of over five grams of crack cocaine. At the guilty plea, he admitted that he sold more than five grams of crack cocaine on two occasions in March of 2009.

Calloway was previously convicted of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance on two occasions in state court in Kentucky.

Under federal law, Calloway must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence, and, upon release, will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for eight years. Kerry B. Harvey, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Elizabeth A. Fries, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, jointly made the announcement today after the sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The United States was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony J. Bracke.
