Seeking Information in Los Angeles Airport Shootings
Suspect in Custody Identified as Paul Anthony Ciancia

The FBI and law enforcement partners are investigating a shooting that occurred this morning at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Investigators have identified several victims of the shooting, including a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer who was killed, and several individuals who were injured trying to avoid gunfire.


The suspect (pictured) has been identified as Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, a resident of Los Angeles. Ciancia was arrested following an officer-involved-shooting, the circumstances of which are also under investigation by police. The suspect is believed to have acted alone. A photo of the suspect is publicly available.
