Roland
J. Corvington, Assistant Director, Security Division
Mr. Corvington was born November 30, 1959. He graduated from
Western Illinois University (WIU), Macomb, Illinois, in 1980,
with a Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement Administration.
In 1982, he graduated from WIU with a Master's Degree.
Prior
to his appointment as a Special Agent, Mr. Corvington was
employed in the private sector. Mr. Corvington received his
appointment as a Special Agent on December 24, 1987. He was
subsequently assigned to the Kansas City Field Office where
he also served as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of a White
Collar Crime Squad and SSA of a Safe Streets Task Force.
In September
1996, Mr. Corvington was assigned to FBI Headquarters in Washington,
D.C., where he served as a SSA in the Drug Section, Criminal
Investigative Division. He was promoted to the Inspection
Division (INSD) as an Assistant Inspector during August 1998,
and during August 1999, Mr. Corvington was appointed to serve
as Chief, Inspection Management Unit, Office of Inspections,
INSD.
On November
25, 2000, Mr. Corvington was named as the Assistant Special
Agent in Charge of the Pittsburgh Division. He served in this
capacity until January 9, 2004, when he was named Section
Chief of the New Agents Training Programs Section at the FBI
Academy, Quantico, VA. On February 1, 2005, Mr. Corvington
was appointed by Director Robert S. Mueller, III, to serve
as Special Agent in Charge of the St. Louis Division of the
FBI.
On 08/02/07,
Mr. Corvington was named Assistant Director of the Security
Division.
