FBI Offers Reward in KFC Firebomb/Arson Investigation

The FBI Las Vegas Division is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons, responsible for the firebombing/arson which occurred a local Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurantat 1805 Sliverada Blvd. in Reno, Nevada.

On March 9, 2015, the FBI, local law enforcement, and fire officials responded to the KFC restaurant on a reported destruction of property. Evidence of a firebombing using Molotov cocktails and the initials “ALF” spray-painted in black on the drive through menu was discovered. At the time of the incident, the restaurant was unoccupied. No injuries were reported. Based on the nature of the crime committed, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) is investigating this matter.
