The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the Home Federal Bank today.

At approximately 10:35 a.m. today, a man entered the Home Federal Bank located at 7204 Oak Ridge Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee, threatened to have a bomb, and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his mid to late 20s, between 6’ and 6’2” tall, and weighing approximately 150 to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing blue jeans with a dark colored, pullover hoodie and a dark-colored, possibly camouflage pattern, piece of material covering his face. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene in a black, Ford Taurus late 90s to early 2000s model.

A reward is being offered for information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KCSO at 865-215-2243. This matter is being jointly investigated by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, Knoxville Police Department, and KCSO) and the KCSO Major Crimes Unit.
