Nashville Man Arrested by FBI Knoxville Safe Streets Task Force

At approximately 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, Jeffery Benson, 28, of Nashville, Tennessee, was arrested by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of members of the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) in collaboration with members of the Knoxville Police Department’s Patrol Division. The arrest was pursuant to a federal warrant issued by the Middle District of Tennessee, obtained by the Memphis Division, Nashville Resident Agency, of the FBI. Benson is charged with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine. The arrest occurred, without incident, at 243 Bell Street in Knoxville, Tennessee.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
