Multi-Agency Effort Leads to Arrest of Antonio Perez Edwards on Drug Charges

Antonio Perez Edwards, 29, of Michigan, was arrested on drug charges this afternoon by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF), which includes the Knoxville Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

A complaint charging Edwards with multiple counts of assaulting a federal officer has been filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Incident to Edwards’ arrest on Henley Street at Clinch Avenue in downtown Knoxville, an FBI vehicle sustained damage.
