Federal Warrant Issued for Man Suspected of Robbing Two Knoxville Banks

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Knoxville Police Department (KPD), and Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), as part of the FBI’s Safe Street Task Force (SSTF), and the KPD Major Crimes Unit, are searching for the individual suspected in at least two local bank robberies.

On 01/07/2010, a federal arrest warrant for bank robbery was obtained in the Eastern District of Tennessee for Phillip Robert Hedrich, age 30, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Hedrich is suspected of robbing the GreenBank located at 10201 Parkside Drive in Knoxville on 01/04/2010. Henrich may be the same individual who robbed the Regions Bank located at 7821 Kingston Pike in Knoxville on 12/29/2009.

Additionally, Hedrich may be traveling in the company of an endangered juvenile.

A reward is being offered for any information which may lead to Hedrich’s arrest. Anyone with information should contact the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751, or the KPD at 865-215-7212. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI SSTF and KPD Major Crimes Unit.
