Gabriel Todd Prater Pleads Guilty to Distribution of Child Pornography

KNOXVILLE—Gabriel Todd Prater, 27, of Lancing, Tennessee, pleaded guilty today to the distribution of child pornography over the Internet. Prater was placed in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending sentencing on April 23, 2010, before United States District Court Judge Thomas W. Phillips.

This case is part of the Department’s “Project Safe Childhood”(PSN) initiative, which targets individuals that produce, distribute and possess child pornography over the Internet.

This conviction is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Knoxville Police Department, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank M. Dale, Jr. represented the United States.
