Hi, my name is Hannah, and I am a black and white Border Collie. I am assigned to the FBI Miami office in South Florida.
I joined the FBI in June 2009 as an Explosives Detection Canine and have been certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA). My handler and partner is Special Agent Bomb Technician Carmen Kentala. Carmen is also a trainer with NAPWDA, and she taught me how to find explosives. I am joining my brother, Sirius, who has been working for the FBI in Miami for the past six years.
My handler says that Miami is a very busy place, and she already has me scheduled to work NASCAR, the Orange Bowl, the Pro Bowl, and Super Bowl XLIV. I can’t wait! I love working for the FBI.
Carmen takes me with her and Sirius every time they go training. I love to train because I know that every time I find explosives I am going to play with my yellow tennis ball. I love yellow tennis balls!
When I am not working, I go with my dad to herd sheep or I play with Sirius at home and with my other brother Keene. There is just so much to do, I don’t have time to relax. I might miss something important!
