Arkansas Man Indicted for Robbing Blackwater Bank

U.S. Attorney’s Office November 08, 2013
  • Western District of Missouri (816) 426-3122

JEFFERSON CITY, MO—Tammy Dickinson, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today that a Bella Vista, Arkansas man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for the robbery of Alliant Bank in Blackwater, Missouri.

Timothy Patrick Hoyt, 43, of Bella Vista, was charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City on Thursday, November 7, 2013. The federal indictment alleges that Hoyt stole $5,123 from the bank on June 26, 2013.

Dickinson cautioned that the charge contained in this indictment is simply an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charge must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lawrence E. Miller. It was investigated by FBI; the Cooper County, Missouri Sheriff’s Department; and the Altoona, Iowa Police Department.
