JACKSONVILLE, FL—United States Attorney A. Brian Albritton announces that William Edward Blocker (age 79, of Flagler Beach), today pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. Blocker faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.

According to the plea agreement, agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Daytona Resident Agency, secured and executed a search warrant on Blocker’s home address on November 25, 2008. Agents seized ten computers and numerous CDs. Blocker admitted to a special agent of the FBI that he had downloaded and viewed child pornography on almost a daily basis, and that he had done so for some time.

An FBI Forensic Computer Examiner did analysis on three of the hard drives seized at the defendant’s house and found over 8,000 suspected child pornography digital images and photographs, and approximately 150 suspected child pornography videos.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ronald T. Henry.
