Robbery of Kilmichael Bank in Winona

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Kilmichael Bank in Winona, Mississippi, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.  Stephen F. Gomez, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Mississippi, stated that the Winona and Vaiden Police Departments, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Special Agents of the FBI are following all leads in connection with this robbery.  In addition, the FBI, MBI, the Winona and Vaiden Police Departments and the Sheriff’s Offices of both Carroll and Montgomery Counties are searching for Verlander Murphy (photo attached), age 49, a resident of Vaiden, Mississippi, who is believed to have information relevant to this robbery.
