FORT WAYNE, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office announced the following activity:
DISPOSITIONS:
- Stanley Bennett, 51, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 60 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of being a felon in possession of a firearm. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.
- Caleb Hurst, 25, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 15 months’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release after pleading guilty to the felony offense of use of a communication facility to facilitate the commission of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. This case was the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Indiana State Police, the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Drug Task Force and the New Haven Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.
