Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

Michael S. Welch, Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Chief Curt Blount of the Monticello Police Department are requesting assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for the armed bank robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, 100 North Main Street, Monticello, Indiana, occurring Wednesday, December 22, 2010.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the subject entered the bank, displayed a weapon, and demanded money. After taking the money, the subject exited the bank. The subject left the location in a silver four-door vehicle, license plate unknown.

For information, the subject is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a medium to large build. He was wearing a black ski-type mask, a black baseball cap with a bill, dark sunglasses, black gloves, a black coat, and blue jeans.

The investigation into this robbery is continuing. Any person with information concerning this bank robbery is asked to contact the Indianapolis Office of the FBI at 317/639-3301 (24 hours).
