Activity in Federal Court – Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

Jesse S. Groth, 32, of Hamilton Lake, Hamilton, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 75 months’ imprisonment and four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with manufacture of marijuana. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Indiana State Police, the Hamilton Police Department, the Ashley Police Department, and the United States Postal Inspection Service. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

Adam T. Graef, 26, of Sprott Street, Auburn, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 48 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Auburn Police Department, and the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

Courtney C. Turner, 24, of Paulding Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 57 months’ imprisonment and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Turner was previously convicted of burglary in Fort Wayne.This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

Joseph F. Looper, 34, of Madeira Dr. Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge William Lee to 151 months’ imprisonment and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with bank robbery of Salin Bank by force or violence. This case was the result of an investigation bythe Fort Wayne Police Department and the Bank Robbery Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

Juan Rosales-Cuen, 32, address unknown, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 37 months’ imprisonment and four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. This case was the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Drug Task Force, and the FBI Gang Narcotics Enforcement team. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

Jaime Villarreal, 41, of Maplewood Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 87 months’ imprisonment and eight years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count two of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

Nathan T. Perez, 23, of Southbend Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging with him with robbery of a controlled substance from a Walgreens Drug Store. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

Andrew J. Hamilton, 29, of Auburn, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging him with robbery of a controlled substance from a CVS Drug Store. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
