Activity in Federal Court – South Bend

SOUTH BEND, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

Dion Davis, 26, of South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 148 months’ imprisonment and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with robbery of a federally insured bank while armed with a deadly weapon, and knowingly using or carrying a firearm during a crime of violence. Davis will pay restitution to Teachers Credit Union in South Bend, the victim in this case, the total of $65,113.89. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
