Latent Print Examinations—Preparing for a Daubert Hearing

This 32-hour course of instruction is designed for latent print examiners. Students will learn how to address Daubert guidelines during direct testimony, as well as how to prepare for cross-examination. Through small group exercises, students will develop an outline for a PowerPoint presentation and discuss defense related arguments. By the end of the course, students will be better prepared to testify in an admissibility hearing.
