Have an idea or suggestion regarding the authorized exchange of criminal history record information for noncriminal justice purposes or the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact Council process?
Topic suggestions may be submitted at any time. Suggestions should be submitted in writing and should include: a clear statement of the request; how it is handled now or a description of the problem; suggested change/solution; scenario/example; benefit to the noncriminal justice community; impact on state, local or federal noncriminal justice agencies; importance; and contact person. (See attached form.)
Here's how to submit your ideas:
1. State or local noncriminal justice agencies may submit proposals to the State Compact Officer or to the FBI Compact Officer in those states who have not yet ratified the Compact. Federal agencies may submit directly to the FBI Compact Officer.
2. State Identification Bureaus may submit topic proposals to the State Compact Officer or directly to the FBI Compact Officer.
3. Professional Organizations submit topic proposals directly to the FBI Compact Officer.
4. All proposals will be forwarded to the FBI Compact Officer for coordination with the Council/Committee Chairman as the meeting agendas are finalized.
