August 2001, the Delaware Art Museum discovered
this painting missing from collections storage.
The painting is presumed stolen. "The Battle
of Bunker Hill" is an illustration for "The
Story of the American Revolution" by Henry
Cabot Lodge, for Scribner's Magazine, February 1888.
