Theft of Baltimore
Orioles World Series Ring
On February 26, 2001,
Westminster police Department advised that a 1966
Baltimore Orioles World Series ring was stolen from
the archives room of the Hoover Library, Western
Maryland College. The ring was part of a collection
donated to the college by retired U.S. Army General
R.S. Gill, now deceased, who was once part owner
of the Orioles.
