Theft Notices & Recoveries


SWEDEN

The Art Theft Notices displayed on the FBI web site constitute only a partial listing of the objects registered on the National Stolen Art File. All requests for searches of the National Stolen Art File must be made through a law enforcement agency.

Recovered

On September 16, 2005, the Los Angeles Divison of the FBI announced the recovery of Renoir's "Young Parisian" and Rembrandt's "Self-Portrait." For more information, see the Press Release

The following three paintings were stolen during an armed robbery of the Sweden National Museum, Stockholm, on December 22, 2000. The Conversation was later recovered by police.
