Engravings by Pierre Joseph Redout

Forty-three engravings by Pierre Joseph Redout, were stolen in May 1998 from the Austrian National Library, Vienna, Austria. The engravings were cut out of a three volume set entitiled Les Roses, printed in Paris, dating from 1817 to 1824. Two of the engravings were recently recovered in Germany. Each engraving is inscribed with the flower name in French and Latin script. Sheet dimensions are 53 x 35 cm.
