Bulverde Man Indicted for Bank Robbery

U.S. Attorney’s Office February 14, 2013
  • Southern District of Texas (713) 567-9000

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX—Joseph C. M. Krist, 41, of Bulverde, has been indicted by a Corpus Christi federal grand jury for robbing IBC Bank, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today.

The unsealed indictment, returned late yesterday, alleges Krist committed a bank robbery of the IBC Bank in Corpus Christi on January 13, 2013. He allegedly used force, violence, and intimidation in order to obtain cash from two bank employees, according to the indictment.

Krist is currently in federal custody for violating a previous term supervised release, which he was serving after a previous conviction for a robbery in San Antonio.

The case is being investigated by FBI and the Corpus Christi Police Department with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service. Assistant United States Attorney Lance Duke is prosecuting the case.

An indictment is a formal accusation of criminal conduct, not evidence.

A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until convicted through due process of law.
