“G.I. Joe Bandit” Robs Cypress Bank
Bandit Wore an Army Green, Long-Sleeved, Military-Style Shirt

The FBI needs your help in identifying the “G.I. Joe Bandit,” who robbed the BBVA Compass Bank located at 14213 Cypress-Rosehill in Cypress, Texas on March 7, 2012. The robber was armed with a pistol and wore an army green, long-sleeved, military-style shirt during the robbery. Photographs from the bank’s surveillance cameras are below.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the armed robber entered the bank and approached tellers. He pointed his pistol at bank employees and verbally demanded money. A teller gave the robber some cash. He left the bank. No one was physically hurt. There is no known vehicle description to release at this time.

The bank robber is described as a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s, approximately 6’1” tall, and weighing about 200 pounds. He had some light brown facial hair. He wore an army green colored, long-sleeved, military-style shirt, jeans, sunglasses, and a dark colored baseball hat.
