Armed Bank Robber Hits Cypress Bank

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the Capital One Bank located at 20503 FM 529 in Cypress, Texas this morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the man entered the bank alone, displayed a weapon, and demanded cash. The teller gave him some cash, and then he left the bank and was seen leaving the area in a black Chrysler Aspen. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured some photographs of the robber during the robbery. This same individual is suspected of robbing a number of banks in Northwest Houston.

The robber is described as a black male in his 40s, 5’8” - 5’10” tall, 190 - 210 pounds, clean shaven, with black hair and a round face. He wore a button-down, long-sleeved dress shirt, jeans, and a black military-style hat. He also wore eye glasses.
