The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the Woodforest National Bank located inside the Walmart at 4810 Highway 6 North in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, 02/02/2011.

At approximately 3:50 p.m., the man entered the bank alone and inquired about opening an account. When asked for identification, he didn’t produce any and instead walked out. A few minutes later he returned and threw a folded napkin down on the counter. Written on the napkin was a demand for money. No weapon was observed, but tellers advised it appeared as though he may have been concealing a weapon on his person. The teller gave him some cash. The robber got away on foot. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The bank’s surveillance cameras captured some photographs of the subject during the robbery.

The robber is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’9-5’10” tall, and 170-180 pounds with a slender build. He had a dark brown complexion and was unshaven. He wore dark sunglasses, a black beanie cap, black long-sleeved sweater or sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark Nike high-top sneakers with a blue Nike swoosh on the sides.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
