Armed Robber Robs Bank Inside Food Town Grocery Store

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help in identifying the man who robbed the First Convenience Bank located inside the Food Town grocery store at 5367 Antoine in Houston, Texas, earlier today. Bank surveillance photographs of the robber are attached at the end of this press release.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., the man entered the grocery store and proceeded to the bank located inside. He approached a teller, threw a plastic bag on the counter, then pulled out a large handgun and pointed it at the teller. He verbally demanded cash, and fled the bank on foot after receiving it. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The robber is described as a white male, 45-50 years old, 6’ - 6’2” tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, grey hair and an unshaven grey beard. He wore a white tee-shirt, khaki pants and prescription glasses. Witnesses advised he smelled strongly of alcohol. He was armed with a large, black semi-automatic handgun.
