The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking to identify the man who robbed the Prosperity Bank at 8820 Westheimer in Houston yesterday afternoon. Tellers and customers alike must have known something was up when this master of disguise walked into the bank wearing a towel over his head, a baseball cap on top of the towel, and big dark sunglasses.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., he approached the teller counter and produced a note demanding money. The teller complied with his demand and handed over the cash. Witnesses reported that the robber fled the bank on foot, and was seen running in a southerly direction.

The robber is described as a black male, 24-25 years old, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, 140-160 pounds, slim build, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a loose-fitting tan jumpsuit, and had a blue towel covering his head and shoulders. Above the towel he wore a blue baseball cap. He was also wearing sunglasses.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this bank robber or any felony suspect. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
