Surveillance Photographs Released in Alvin Bank Robbery

The FBI and Alvin Police Department need your help in identifying a young man who robbed the Compass Bank located at 2432 South Gordon Drive in Alvin, Texas, on 07/19/2010.

At approximately 2:35 p.m., the man entered the bank and handed a note to one of the tellers. The note announced the robbery and requested money in certain denominations. When the teller asked if he was “serious” the robber responded by lifting his shirt and displaying a silver revolver with a white handle. The robber asked the teller to put the cash in an envelope. The teller complied and provided the robber with some cash. No one was physically hurt during the robbery. The robber was last observed heading Southwest along Farm Road 1462.

The robber is described as a Hispanic male, 18-25 years old, approximately 5’06”-5’8” tall, 160-170 pounds, with dark short hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. He also had side burns and a small patch of hair on his chin. He wore a dark colored baseball-type cap, green colored pullover shirt over a white tee-shirt, a dark blue or black hooded jacket, tan pants, brown gloves, white tennis shoes, glasses, and carried a dark colored backpack.
