FBI Houston September 24, 2009
  • Special Agent Shauna Dunlap (713) 936-7638

The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an armed gunman who robbed the Chase Bank at 7611 FM 1960 West this morning. Investigators believe he is the same man who robbed a different Chase Bank on the same street, at 6910 FM 1960 West on September 11, 2009. Surveillance photos indicate that he was wearing the same clothes during both robberies.

In this morning’s robbery, “Déjà Vu” entered the bank at approximately 9:30 a.m. and approached the lone teller on duty. He opened a zippered folder, pulled out a light colored semi-automatic handgun and placed it into his waistband. He demanded cash and threatened to kill the teller if his demand was not met. After grabbing the cash, “Déjà Vu” exited the bank and was seen running toward the Willowbrook Mall parking lot.

He is described as a black male, 35-45 years old,  6’ to 6’01” tall, 250 pounds, with a slightly protruding stomach, dark complexion, and unshaven appearance. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a white tee-shirt with a distinctive design, and faded blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of “Déjà Vu” or any felony suspect. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
