The FBI Houston Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and capturing the “Reckless Robber”, who is currently suspected in as many as ten recent area bank robberies.  “Reckless Robber” is known for dangerously pointing his weapon at tellers and customers, and today’s robbery was no exception.

This morning the “Reckless Robber” entered the Wells Fargo bank at 5622 Third Street in Katy and approached the teller counter.  As he neared the counter, he pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol, held it high, and racked the slide back.  He then threatened the tellers and customers and demanded cash.

Witnesses described the robber as a white or Hispanic male with a light complexion, 25-30 years old, 6’2” tall, 230 pounds.  He was wearing a dark wig with a fake dark mustache, and sunglasses.

The usual Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000.00 has been augmented with private funding, and the total reward for information leading to his charging and arrest is now up to $10,000.  If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 713-222-TIPS.
