FBI - Investigative Training Unit POSITION: The FBI's Investigative Training Unit is offering full-time unpaid internships to qualifying applicants during Spring and Fall semesters. The Investigative Training Unit is located at the FBI Academy on the Marine Corps Base at Quantico, Virginia. DUTIES: The Intern's duties will vary in accordance with the needs of the Investigative Training Unit and the skills and interests of the applicant. Generally, duties include assisting the Investigative Training Unit staff in fulfilling its responsibility to teach FBI agent trainees how to investigate violations of federal law. These duties include researching law enforcement topics for use in the new agent classrooms or publication projects; researching published accounts of court cases related to subject matter taught in new agent instruction; assisting in the preparation of new agent curriculum utilizing software like Power Point, Excel and Access; updating instructional manuals; assisting new agent instructors in classroom preparation; and other duties related to the instruction of new agents. A recent intern was heavily involved in the production of a training movie, and the creation of new curriculum for new agents. QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant must be currently enrolled at least half-time in a college
program, have at least a college junior standing, and have a minimum GPA
of 3.0. HOURS: The working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Interns will be expected to work 40 hours a week. The internship starts the first week in September for the Fall program and the second week in January for the Spring program. The program is a minimum of 14 weeks. background, interests, goals, and reasons for wanting to participate in
this program; NOTE: Interviews for finalists are held at the FBI Academy. Other arrangements (under exigent circumstances) can be made by contacting Mr. Morrell. Transportation costs for such an interview will be borne by the applicant. DEADLINES:
November 1st -- if applying for Fall internship beginning the following
September. March 1st -- if applying for Spring internship beginning the
