Robbery of First Savings Bank Branch in El Paso

At approximately 11:45 a.m., a man walked into the First Savings Bank branch located at 5430 Doniphan in El Paso, Texas, approached a teller, handed over a note (no weapon), and demanded money. The teller complied and handed the man an undisclosed amount of money. The man exited the bank and fled on foot, heading south on Doniphan.
The subject is described as a Hispanic male, mid-30s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a goatee and heavy-set build. He was wearing a black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, black hat with sunglasses on top, and construction boots. He handed the teller a note, did not display a weapon, and left the note at the bank when he left on foot.
This case is being investigated by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes the El Paso Police Department and El Paso Sheriff’s Department. If anyone was in the vicinity of the bank and/or has information about the robbery, please contact the FBI at 915-832-5000.
