“Masked Bandit” Robs El Paso Bank

The International Bank, 175 Arizona Avenue, El Paso, Texas, was robbed shortly after 1:00 this afternoon. A lone male entered the bank with a pistol. In Spanish, he ordered the customers onto the floor then pointed the gun at a teller. He put an undisclosed amount of money in a backpack, fled on foot and jumped over a wall at the back of the bank.

Subject Description:

  • Hispanic male, in his 30s
  • 5’8” thin build
  • Clothing: a long-sleeved gray “hoodie,” blue shorts, black and white gloves, black baseball cap, white tennis shoes, camouflage backpack
  • White surgical mask and sunglasses

This is El Paso’s 13th bank robbery of the year. If anyone has information about the name or location of this person, please contact the El Paso FBI at 915-832-5000. The case is being worked by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force which includes members of the FBI, El Paso Police Department and El Paso Sheriff’s Department.
