FBI Seeks the Public’s Help Identifying a Bank Robber

Paul Abbate, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Detroit Field Office, announced that the FBI is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the September 7, 2014 robbery of the TCF Bank located in a Royal Oak Township Kroger grocery store.

On the morning of September 7, 2014, the TCF Bank located in a Kroger grocery store at 8920 West 8 Mile Road, Royal Oak Township, Michigan, was robbed by a black male, approximately 60 to 65 years old, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, and 210 to 220 pounds. The suspect gave the victim teller a note stating, “Give me all your money or I will shoot you.”

The investigation is being worked jointly by the FBI Oakland County Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force and the Michigan State Police. The FBI Oakland County Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force is composed of special agents with the FBI Detroit Field Office, Oakland County Resident Agency; and state and local law enforcement officers with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the Michigan State Police, the Michigan Department of Corrections/Parole, and the Bloomfield Township, Auburn Hills, Southfield, and Waterford Township Police Departments.
