  • Western District of Michigan (616) 456-2404

MARQUETTE, MI—Phillip Allen Lampi, 64, of Crystal Falls, Michigan, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for receipt of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Donald A. Davis announced today. In addition to the prison term, Senior U.S. District Judge R. Allan Edgar ordered Lampi to serve a lifetime of supervised release following his release from prison, and to pay a $100 special assessment. Lampi, a retired schoolteacher, pleaded guilty to Count 1 of a federal indictment charging him with receipt of child pornography on March 11, 2009. Lampi stored child pornography he obtained via the Internet on his personal computer and had thousands of images of child pornography, as well as videos, on that computer when it was seized by the Michigan State Police.
