FBI Offers $10,000 Reward and Releases Composite Sketch of Person of Interest in Colorado Springs, Colorado Improvised Explosive Device Explosion

On Friday, January 9, 2015 at 4:00 p.m., the FBI, ATF, Colorado Springs Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and Fountain Police Department hosted a press conference at the Colorado Springs Police Department. At that time, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Thomas Ravenelle, FBI Denver, released a composite sketch of a person of interest involved in the explosion that occurred in the vicinity of a building located at 603 South El Paso Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 6, 2015. SAC Ravenelle also announced the FBI and ATF were offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the explosion.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, and balding or having shortly cropped hair. The vehicle he is driving is described as a mid-2000 model white pick-up truck with possible paneling or railing, a dark colored bed liner, an open or missing tailgate, and a missing or covered license plate.
