Robbery of Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Denver

The Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating a recent bank robbery at the below institution:

Wells Fargo Bank
2043 South Colorado Boulevard
Denver, Colorado
March 22, 2014, 3:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, and approximately 6’3” in height with a thin build.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded and received money, and then escaped on foot.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
